Regular meetings: the committee meets bi-monthly to discuss sonic related issues including individual member presentations of work or research and organise events such as soundwalks.
Soundwalks: gets people together to walk and listen, led by an AFAE committee member they have been well received by a broad range of participants
Conferences: instigating/hosting/organising events - eg an international symposium in 2003 or the 'Hearing Place' events or series of talks held in 2002.
Disseminating information: AFAE members help to organise the printing and distribution of the WFAE’s bi-annual Soundscape the Journal of Acoustic Ecology. As an affiliate of the WFAE: the AFAE has a representative on the board of the WFAE
